わが道を行くバカっぷりとこだわりのアレンジの効いたサウンドで全米のティーンからの圧倒的支持を集める、ダニー・セックスバンとニンジャ・ブライアンによるエレクトロ・ポップス・ユニット NINJA SEX PARTY。今年3月には絶妙な選曲センスが炸裂したカヴァーアルバム『Under the Covers』をリリースした彼らですが、先ごろ、9月8日付けで"6969"とPVを公開しました。PVは公開後わずか一日足らずでPV数 500,000を軽々と突破し、現在もなお凄まじい勢いで増え続けております。ちなみに同曲は昨年リリースのアルバム『Attitude City』のハイライトとなった曲。そのタイトルとキーヴィジュアルからRUSHの金字塔的コンセプトアルバム『西暦2112』のパロディだというのは一目瞭然で、原曲にならってこちらも七部構成（ほんとこの人たちはRUSH好きだなと）という趣向なのですが、ふたを開けてみればストーリーはナナメ上にブチ抜けており、セックスあふれるユートピアを夢見て旅立ったはずがセックスのないディストピアにたどり着いてしまった二人の（色々な意味で）アツい闘いを描いています。これでもかと頻出する「dick」「fuck」ワードと、セックスの喜びを凝りに凝りまくったアレンジで8分半に渡って高らかに歌い上げる、「Danny Sexbang」のネーミングの面目躍如たる大作ポップオペラ。PVもPVで無駄にメタファーまみれで無駄に力を入れており、「EAT DICKS」、ちんぽ長老評議会（Council of Dick Elders）、抑圧的ちんぽ政権（Oppressive Dick Regime）、A-COCK-olypse（アチンポカリプス）などのパワーワードを視覚的にもナチュラルにブッこんでくるので、率直に言って最高に狂ってると思います（褒め言葉）。ご堪能あれ。
